I'm still on the hunt for historical 'squadron' skins for the various WW1 and WW2 planes to use with Pat Wilson's campaign generator.I have some, even used some of the old 2k ones from Rise of Flight for non player planes in Flying Circus. The Hurri in CoD has elevator and rudder trim but no eileron trim.didn't have it in RL if I remember rightly. I set a HOTAS switch so I can feather the props.which is useful on multi engined planes to get you home if you take engine hits but not so much with a single engine.also fire extinguishers if they're fitted. IL2 is configurable for most levels of interaction from arcade to almost simulator, it's always good to know what all those cockpit levers, knobs and buttons do in real life but it's not always fun to be forced into dealing with the added realism if all you want to do is fly.which is what I like The advice suggested for adding keybinds and settings as you play more is definitely the best option, you'll reach the perfect balance at some stage. assuming the plane isn't fitted with a ROTOL prop.but the engine and radiator management I leave the game to manage, that's my level of fun v sim.I'm not that much of a perfectionist. I keep trim settings manual, sometimes prop pitch if I can be bothered. Click to expand.I love all these vids.but all that engine management takes IL2 into the realms of DCS if you fuss over setting every combination of switches, buttons and sliders to keep it real.
